The UniCredit European Works Council supports the action of the Italian Trade Unions and workers in Deutsche Bank Italy, who are currently on strike in opposition to DB’s strategy to outsource activities out of the framework of the bank’s National Collective Agreement, through the reassignment of Italian workers to ISS Facility Services Srl (part of the Danish ISS World Group).

ISS Group employs its staff under the Cleaning & Multiservices National Collective Agreement.

The Unicredit EWC supports also all the initiatives that UNI Europa  and UNI Finance are taking about this sensitive issue.

The employees and Unions of the DB Group in Italy are claiming that all the employees affected by this operation must be relocated within DB.

DB’s strategy is not an isolated case in the European banking sector; also Unicredit and other banks have similar projects on the pipe line.

The UniCredit EWC expresses its concern and disapproval of all outsourcing strategies aiming at reducing costs and staff but also at decreasing the quality of services provided to customers.
